Sevilla host league leaders Barcelona this Saturday at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán without two key attacking players. Lucas Stassin and Rubén Vargas will miss the seventh matchday of La Liga due to a muscle injury and a knee problem respectively.

Quique Sánchez Flores's side arrives on the back of two consecutive wins, the latest a 0-1 victory at Deportivo La Coruña with a goal from Miguel Sierra. Those results have placed Sevilla fifth in the standings, with 13 points from a possible 18, five behind Barcelona. The full squad list and upcoming schedule are available on the squad and fixtures pages.

Stassin, out with a muscle injury, has an estimated return date in early October. Vargas, sidelined with a knee issue, is not expected back until late in the same month. Their absence will force the manager to reconfigure his forward line, which last time out featured Sierra, Jon Guridi and Félix Correia behind Stassin.

Barcelona travel to Sevilla in devastating form, having won their last five matches across all competitions with overwhelming attacking power. The Catalan side, who beat Racing 7-2 last weekend, are the competition's top scorers. Sevilla will aim to counter that firepower with defensive solidity, having conceded just six goals in six games. The match kicks off on Saturday 19 September at 21:00 local time.
