Sevilla FC has strengthened its defense with the signing of Arouna Sangante, a 24-year-old center-back who arrives as a free agent from Le Havre in France. He signed a five-year contract, lasting until June 30, 2031. Sangante, born in Mbao, Senegal, stands out for his height of 189 centimeters and versatility, as he can also play as a right-back. This will be his first experience outside the French club, where he joined at the age of 15 after progressing through the youth ranks of Cosmos Saint-Denis and Red Star FC.

The new Sevilla signing made his Ligue 2 debut during the 2020/21 season and quickly became a key player for Le Havre. In the 2021/22 season, he played 32 matches, scoring one goal and participating in the Coupe de France. His performance continued to rise, with 35 matches in the following campaign, where he scored three goals and provided two assists, helping the team achieve promotion to Ligue 1 as champions.

Sangante has been the captain of Le Havre since the 2023/24 season, showcasing his leadership and ability on the pitch. Although he has yet to make his official debut with the Senegalese national team, he has been called up for friendlies, but injuries prevented him from participating. Arouna Sangante's arrival at Sevilla promises to strengthen the team's defense as they aim to compete at the highest level in La Liga and European competitions.
