On Wednesday, Julio Díaz completed his first training session with Sevilla. The left-back, from Atlético de Madrid and native of San Fernando de Henares, has started a new chapter with the club under José García Plaza's guidance.

Díaz signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2031, in an operation that includes an initial transfer fee of one million euros and another half a million in variable payments. Additionally, Atlético de Madrid retains the option to reclaim the player.

The Sevilla squad will train again on Thursday morning before embarking on a journey to Rotterdam to establish their base during the pre-season tour. During this trip, players will participate in three friendly matches: against NEC Nimega on Friday, July 31; FC Utrecht on Sunday, August 2; and Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, August 8.

The aim is for Díaz to integrate quickly into the group and start working with his new teammates. The pre-season will serve as a period for him to familiarize himself with the tactical systems of the coach and establish his position as an important piece in García Plaza's lineup.
