Sevilla is trying to secure a loan for Marc Guiu, a 20-year-old forward from Chelsea who has no squad number for the season. The Andalusian club, which already signed Robbie Ure, still wants to add another striker who can bring goals and internal competition. The arrival of Guiu would allow coach Luis García to have another offensive option alongside Ure and Isaac Romero. The forward, a product of Barcelona’s youth system, knows Spanish football well, which would ease his adaptation and allow him to regain prominence quickly.
The 20-year-old forward is in a difficult situation at Stamford Bridge after being left without a number for the new season. With no space in the Blues’ squad, a temporary move appears to be a favorable alternative for both the player and the London club.
Sevilla’s need for an additional striker has been intensified by departures. The club lost Akor Adams, who was transferred to Venezia, while experienced players such as Alexis Sánchez and Neal Maupay also left during the market. Sevilla had initially explored a loan of George Ilenikhena, but that option lost momentum after the striker’s good performances with Al Ittihad.
Sevilla’s interest is not new. Guiu had already been linked with the Andalusian club in the early weeks of summer, but the situation at Stamford Bridge could now facilitate negotiations. For Chelsea, a loan could be the ideal opportunity for the young forward to gain minutes and experience in a team that can give him a key role.
It remains to be defined whether the two clubs will reach an agreement, but the scenario looks favourable for a deal that could benefit all parties: Sevilla would get the striker it needs, Chelsea would keep control of its young talent, and Guiu would have the chance to relaunch his career in LaLiga. If it comes to fruition, Guiu would return to the Primera División with Sevilla.
