Proposed lineup
Sevilla plans to send a squad to Bilbao that reflects the comeback in the opening round against Rayo. The starting eleven could be: Odysseas in goal; Juan Iglesias, Andrés Castrín, Sangante and Suazo in defense; Lucien Agoumé and Guridi in midfield; Sierra, Peque and Oso behind Robbie Ure, who will lead the attack.
Changes and adjustments
Luis García Plaza has added Kochorashvili to the squad, while Vargas and Alfon are not traveling. The expulsion of Kike Salas against Rayo forces an obligatory change; Castrín will pair with Sangante in the center of defense, confirmed in the coach’s press conference.
In midfield, Manu Bueno and Guridi remain options to accompany Agoumé in a double pivot. Peque would stay as a midfield striker, and Robbie Ure, after a good debut last week, would lead the attack instead of Isaac Romero.
Defense and midfield
The defense will be strengthened by Suazo, who brings experience to the area. In midfield, the combination of Agoumé and Guridi seeks to control the game’s tempo. In attack, Sierra, Peque and Oso will form the pressure line, while Ure will handle opportunity creation.
The plan is based on the changes made in the second half of the comeback against Rayo, where Sevilla improved markedly after the break, came from behind and sealed the win with a penalty in added time.
The trip to Bilbao follows the three points earned in the opening round, and the expectation is that the proposed lineup will maintain the dynamic that led to the victory over Rayo.
