Sevilla is in a critical situation, with thousands of fans taking to the streets to demand the resignation of the club's Board of Directors. The protest, called under the slogan 'SOS Sevilla FC', has brought together different generations of fans to launch a unanimous protest. The main objective is to demand the immediate resignation of the Board of Directors, which has been criticized for its management of the club. The protesters began to gather at 20:30 hours in the surroundings of the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, the starting point of the march along the Eduardo Dato avenue towards Puerta de Jerez. Walking in a civic and peaceful manner, but also firmly, the fans advanced with determination. According to police sources, almost ten thousand people joined the march during its route. Sevilla has been conditioned for several years by its institutional instability, which has generated an increasingly tense atmosphere. The social crisis originates from the famous governance agreement signed by the major shareholders. At the beginning of this year, the name of Sergio Ramos appeared as a possible solution for the change of government. The champion represented a group of investors who came willing to buy the majority share packages to start a new project in Nervión. However, the end of the negotiations, the statement from the major shareholders, and the recent appearance of President José María del Nido Carrasco, ratifying the Board, exhausted the patience of the fans, to the point of calling this last protest. The sporting collapse of Sevilla has caused a suffocating economic situation. The Nervión entity is burdened with a large debt derived from the loss of income from European competitions and an oversized payroll. On the streets, it was recalled with indignation how hundreds of millions of euros have been wasted, leaving the club without liquidity in the market and forced to carry out a restructuring of the squad downwards. But the current situation is radically opposite, as the team has chained two consecutive league campaigns, saving itself from relegation by just one point. So the protest has been a call to action for the club's leaders, who must take urgent measures to solve the institutional and sporting crisis of Sevilla.
