Alejandro, aged 14, is recovering from an operation to remove a brain tumour. His younger sister, Belén, suffered from meningitis a few years ago and still carries significant after-effects, particularly with her vision. Both are from Higuera de Calatrava, a town in Jaén, with no family ties to the Andalusian capital, but they developed a deep devotion for the Seville-based team from a young age.
“It was a pleasure to welcome you, Alejandro and Belén,” the club posted on its social media after the meeting. The siblings' passion for Sevilla caught the club's attention, leading to the organization of this unforgettable experience. Beyond meeting the squad, the children attended the Sevilla-Barcelona match at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium.
